Rahman, a Malaysian, age 46, is the Responsible Person and Chief Executive Officer of 5 Pillars Ventures Sdn. Bhd. (“5 Pillars”) since June 2018. Prior to this, he was National Consultant for Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Malaysia based at Economic Planning Unit (EPU) Putrajaya. He was responsible to conduct various assignments mainly researches on key industries and to be liaison person for ADB to engage discussion with government’s ministries and agencies including EPU, MOF, BNM, SC, TNB etc. He also conducted various researches and supporting initiatives in collaboration with PEMANDU.

From year 2007 to 2012, he was the Chief Executive Officer of SCS Capital Sdn Bhd, a SC registered Venture Capital company. During these 5-years he has assisted the company to invest in many transactions covering various industries such as pharmaceutical, biotech, agriculture, IT etc.  He gained his experience in capital market mainly share market and banking industry during his career in EON Finance Bhd, Head Office as a Share Financing Assistant Manager, from 2000 to 2006.  He has an MBA majoring in Management from International Islamic University (UIAM) and BBA (Hons) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), majoring in finance.
